Semi final front cover using my own car

The screen shot above shows the back ground that i will be using for my semi final, to create this image i  chose a city picture with a road leading up to it.  I then chose the sky and i also turned up the brightness of the city and the sky. I also blurred the tips of the skyscrapers into the sky to make the sky look brighter. I also messed around with other things and this is what i came up with. 

This is a picture that i took at Shrewsbury, i really like the look of this car. I liked the angle of the photo that i took and this car would look good on the front of a game case. 

This is the car that i took at Shrewsbury, to get the car to look like this i have done a lot. I have used the pen tool to draw around the car, when i had drawn all the way around the car. I clicked inverse with means i can then delete the background of the car. I then changed the colour of the car with makes the car look even more race like. I also like it as it has changed the colour of the widows as it has changed it to oil look. I really like this look as it makes the car look tuned and modified.

The screen shot above shows the text that i have chosen for this game case, i got this text from dafont website. This text looks really good as it looks really informal and race like.

This is what i have created after i have put all of the little things together, and i have created the game case for real racing. This game case looks really professional and it has used a lot of different Techniques. 

Technique 3 - Painting technique

This is a book that i used for inspiration and to help me draw the cars for this technique. The book is called Really cool stuff, the author for this book is called Dougdubosque. This book has lots of different sections that a can refer to, the section i used was car section.  

This is the page i used to help me draw a car, the i have chosen to draw is a "1946 Chrysler town and country".I choose this car as it gives me a bit of a challenge to copy and paint.  I really like the look of this car as it is a old classic, i also think it would look good on a game case. 

This is my final piece for this technique, to create this piece i needed to draw the car out first. After i had drawn the car out accurately, i painted the parts of the car that needed to have colour, i used acrylic paints to paint the car. I am really happy with the final piece, i like the colour i have chosen for the car.

I like the look of this car and it would look excellent on a game case. This car is my favorite out of all of my paintings aas it has just turned out brilliant.

This is what i have came up with when i added all the details to the cars and added tonal affects, this has turned out to be really good looking. I have found this technique easy to do but very effective. 

Photoshop - Changing a city picture

The screen shot above show that i am using photo shop, to create this background i used a city picture and i a storm picture. I used the pen tool to go round all the towers and then i put the storm in the back ground. This is a dramatic background to a game.

Here i have simply changed the background to black and white to make the game look effective and powerfull.

Photoshop - Colours on car changing using Photoshop

The screen shot above shows that the program i am using in this technique is Photoshop, i am coped one of my photos that i took and put it in the program. To delete the background of the car, i used the pen tool. This lets me create a smooth line around the car, this technique s really simple to use. You use the pen tool by clicking on the lines of the car and moving the mouse to make the lines shallow or  a deep curve. Then you press Alt and that lets you shorten the arms off the point, which then makes it easier to do the next point. After i have gone around all the car and i have a solid black line around the car, i then go to paths and select the third one at the bottom. This makes the car have spotty line around the car, i then go and click inverse which is at the top of the program. This means that i can then press backspace and it will delete the background from the car. 

The screen shot above is example of what can happen when you change the colours of the car. I have done his by simply by selecting the car and clicking the colours option. I then clicked the lime green colour and turned up the saturation of the colour. This then gave me a car that then looks like this, this technique is really simple to do but very effective. 

The screen shot above shows that i have put the car back to the naormal colour and i have then made the car look more cartoon like. This is quite simple to do as all you really need to do is adjust the saturation of the colour and the brightness.  I really like this technique as it looks really professional and it also stands out. 

In this screen shot you can see that i have changed the colour of the car to make it stand out a lot more then the colour of the orange. i have also turned up the brightness of the car so it really stands out it also highlights all the light and dark points of he car. This is one of my favorite techniques i have used on Photoshop. 

In this final Screen shot of this technique i have Changed the car to a light blue colour which makes it stand out and look different to the rest of the cars. To do this technique i have turned the brightness up so the cars roof fades into the background. This car would look really good on the front of a games case as it looks really cool and sporty. 

Photoshop - Making cars look cartoonish

The screen shot above shows that i am using the called Photoshop, this program is based for apple devices. The tool i am using is called the pen tool, this tool lets me draw a line around the car to let me delete the background. To use the pen tool you click and drag to make the curves shallow or harsh. To do the point after the one before you have to drag the arm of the point before. This means that the next point will be easier to do and you carry on until you have a solid line all the way around the car.  

In this screen shot you can see that i have changed the lines to dotty so to do this i selected the car and went to paths and clicked the third one. This means it would be really easy to delete the background, this is really important as it then looks really professional. 

The screen shot above shows that i have deleted the background. I have done this by selecting the car and clicking inverse which is at the top of the page, i then click the backspace which deletes the background of the vehicle.  On the actual car i have changed lots of settings for example i have turned down the brightness. This makes the car screen go black so it makes the car look more cartoon like. 

This is the final piece that i have created using this technique, i really like this piece as it looks like an artist impression. This also looks really professional and it is really eye catching, is also shows all the lines of the car.   

Photoshop - Pen tool on my own drawn car

The screen shot above is a copied image of the car i drew, using the book "Draw really cool stuff". 

The screen shot shows that i am using the program called illustrator, to create this image. I used the pen tool and drew around the car, i set the fill effect to red so when i drew around the car it filled it in red. After i had drawn around the car i then put the circle effect on and then i drew a circle and filled it in red. After  i had done the windows and all the details i hide the original car image. 

This is what my car final looks like after i had added the detail on the wheels. I really like this technique as it looks really professional. 

Photoshop - Black and White Technique

The picture above shows that i am using the program called Photoshop, which works on a apple system. The tool i was using in the screen shot is called pen tool. I used this tool as i find it easy to use and it gives me a smooth line around the car. How i use this tool is i click and then drag the mouse to change how steep or shallow the curve are. I then held down the Alt button to shorten the lines off the point, this makes it easier to do the next point. 

The screen shot above shows the options i can do to the path of the line that i created using the pen tool, the one i need to select is the the third one at the bottom. This makes my picture have dotes around the image, i then select inverse and back space. This gets rid of all the background of the car shop. This is really important as it makes the picture look more professional. 

The screen shot above shows all the different things i can do to my car image. You can select the one you would like to use and i can then change the settings on the options to change the look of the car. For example you can change how light or dark the image is.  

This is a screen shot of a image i had taken in Market Drayton, i have added a couple of effects to this image. On this image i have added black and white affect and changed some of the options. This makes the car change areas were it is darker and lighter. I have also changed the contrast which makes the image fade into the background or makes the image stand out more.   

The three images above are the final pieces of this technique, i really like these three images as they look really professional.  These techniques are really easy to create but they look really amazing. I also like this three images as it gives you a really clear definition of the lines of the cars, due to its simplicity of the photo. i also like the tonal effect that i have created on this car. It also lets people Imagine the colours of the cars.
